Hayes  School students gear up to help develop rugby in local schools

Students  from Hayes School have successfully completed two rugby courses, Rugby Ready & Tag Rugby.  Rugby Ready allowed the students to raise awareness by  providing models of good practice, game context, key points for players,  coaching tips, referee tips and a self-check test. This then allowed them to  obtain a Tag Rugby qualification, which they used to deliver a TAG festival for  local primary schools.  The course was delivered by Mr T. Martingell from  the Tag Rugby Trust (www.tagrugbytrust.co.uk)   assisted by Mr Stamato of Hayes School.  Mr Stamato was pleased with  the project, “The students are a real credit to the school and now assist with  coaching other year groups as part of the Hayes School extracurricular  programme.”
